Behind the Seams Tour FAQs

What happens on the tour?

On the day, you will be guided around all of Angels Costumes departments. You'll learn about the heritage of the business, see how costumes are made and journey through over 8.5 miles of hanging costumes. We recommend comfortable shoes as you will be on your feet throughout.

How long does the tour last?

The tour lasts approximately two hours.

How many people can go on the tour?

Spaces are limited to 15 people per tour.

Can I take photos or videos?

Photography and videos are only permitted in two areas. These will be highlighted to you during the tour.

How do I get to Angels Costumes?

By car, use the postcode NW9 6AA. Please park in the Angels Costumes car park, not Angels Fancy Dress.

By train, Angels Costumes is a five minute walk from Hendon train station. Turn right out of the station along the A504, then right again down Wilberforce Road. Walk to the end of the road and Angels Costumes is opposite.

Is the tour family-friendly?

Since the tour takes place in a working, multi-level environment, it is not suitable for children under the age of fourteen.

Is the tour wheelchair-friendly?

Wheelchair users are welcome. Please let us know in advance if you or a member of your group is a wheelchair user.

I'd like to see a specific costume, can this be arranged?

This can usually be arranged although we may charge for special requests. Please let us know in advance if you want to see something specific.

I'd like to go on the tour for research purposes, is this okay?

The tour is not designed for research trips. We offer a separate research service for fashion houses and students. Email info@angels.uk.com for more information about this.

Do you offer tours for colleges/universities?

Yes. Email tours@angels.uk.com if you want to arrange a tour for your college/university.

Do you run private tours?

Yes. Email tours@angels.uk.com if you want to arrange a private tour.
